Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I sign up my child for classes?

Signing up for classes is easy! First read about the different types of classes we offer to get an idea of what options would fit best for your family. Then just simply send us an email at [email protected] to schedule your free trial class. Once you have found the right class for you, you will just need to create an account on JackRabbit (<- follow the link to our homepage and click "register").  We will receive a notification that you have registered and we will enroll your daughter into the appropriate class. Be sure to remember your login info as we will send all email communications and monthly tuition statements via this account.

Can I join in the middle of the year?

Preschool, Recreational, and XCEL classes are not cumulative so there is no problem in joining at any point during the year. Girls joining the Xcel team after Feb 1st are more than welcome to join training however, will not be able to compete in any competitions. This is due to not having enough time to learn new routines and due to the fact that by February most registration due dates have already passed.

JO-level girls may join MG no later than July 1st of the upcoming competitive year. Summer camp with us is mandatory if you plan to join our competitive team. Please refer to our Summer Camp flyer for all requirements info. Girls wishing to join our JO team after this date will need to submit a request to Maya and Giorgia in writing, will need to schedule a formal try-out, and will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Gymnasts may train on our team but may not be eligible to compete for the remainder of the season if transferring mid-season. A letter of approval from current coaches, and/or private lessons may be required to catch up. This is due to the fact that we choreograph and teach all routines during the summer camp weeks.

What is your refund policy?

Tuition is non-refundable after the 1st of the paid for month. Registration, choreography and coach's fees are non refundable.  For more information please see our Rules and Policies page.

What is the best age to start?

We have classes appropriate for all ages so you can start anytime. However, we recommend for developmental reasons that girls begin training by age 3-4. Families considering the Junior Olympic track should begin Preteam training ideally by age 5, and no later than 7. The Junior Olympic program begins accepting competitors no younger than 6.

What equipment does my child need? Where can I buy it?

You can check your child's requirements under the class page for specifics. For more details refer to our Equipment and Dress Code page.
